The Mirage

This is the second one I have purchased! The Mirage has been a game changer for me in terms of allowing me to hike in the sun 🌞

I have been searching for the perfect sun hoodie for the last 5 years... I have found it with the Mirage Hoodie! Most wool sun hoodies I have used in the past were irritating to my skin, especially if I was sweating. The mirage is butter soft and does not irritate my skin at all. In a past trip to Dolly Sods WV, it rained the whole last day and the Mirage kept me dry and warm under my rain shell. I will definitely be purchasing another in the near future. The quality and design is worth every penny! Thank you Evolved Supply Co. for this great addition to my kit.

Recently used on an overnight backpacking trip to Lake Katherine and a day of mountain biking. Immediately a favorite shirt. I've tried a few other merino wool shirts and none are as soft and comfy as this. It feels way more like cotton than wool. I love the long length of the torso and the slightly loose fit. The perfect sun hoodie? Been eyeing it for awhile and finally got it before a trip to Eurasia where it’s been 80+ degrees every day. Been wearing it most days the last week — soft, doesn’t smell yet, keeps me covered, and the zipper is a must to stay cool when a cool breeze comes through. Best purchase this year, thank you!

Overall I’m very happy with my purchase. My only issue is with sizing. I’m 182cm tall (basically 6’-0”), slim athletic build, and for most of my everyday clothing I wear a size Large for shirts. To be sure, I measured myself out and by the sizing chart I was supposed to order a large, so I did. I feel like I’m swimming in a giant sleeping shirt with this top. I could have easily ordered a medium and still had a very comfortable and loose fitting hiking shirt. The overall length comes down over my groin and buttocks. Personally, I’ll cop it and probably just get used to this size. But this is one of those things that I feel could easily be solved ahead of time by listing the size that the model depicted in the products pictures is wearing along with their height and weight, instead of relying upon the consumer to get their measurements done correctly. As I stated above, no issues with the quality of the product and I haven’t tested it out yet in the wild, just surprised and mildly disappointed about the sizing considering I measured myself out. I’ll come back and review again once I’ve given it a full test run.
