Ordered on a Thursday night and it shipped Friday and I received my pack on Monday. I was looking at packs for weeks and the ranger was the lightest pack I could find that was Made In the USA! I live the old timey styling with the Y strap and the large outside pocket really helps keep stuff organized. Great pack and great company.

Purchasing experience was excellent with Evolved Supply Co., they answered all questions I had and even followed up over the weekend. I had a flight Thursday, Ajay was able to coordinate getting the order expedited with USPS so I could receive it prior to travel. (The USPS failed as usual and took 4 days to get it delivered causing a flight cancellation and rebooking, but no fault whatsoever on the side on evolved supply co). The pack arrived and was honestly better than expected, I’ve never used a frameless pack before but I absolutely love the design and comfort and was able to test it on a 100mile shakedown; definitely my favorite pack now, it will be getting a lot of use this summer. Fantastic company, A+++ experience and I’ll definitely be doing more business with them in the future. My only critique would be to offer more shipping options with UPS or FedEx; the USPS is unreliable at best and cannot be counted on to get anything anywhere on time, especially if you have a strict timeline.

This is my second Ranger pack. I used the original one to hike over 1,200 miles on PCT in WA and on AZT. The version of the pack included the Y-strap, two shoulder straps pockets and 1.5” hip belt from Waymark. My base weight was 10 lbs with maximum loads being between 22-26 lbs. The pack’s perfomance is compared to the following frameless packs: EVLV38, CDT, Zerk 40, Cutaway 40, and Kumo 36. The Ranger’s design is outstanding, especially use of load lifters. In addition, the materials used are excellent. The pack is highly water resistant. The side and bottom pockets are easily reached while walking. After more than 1,200 miles there are no signs of ware on the pack. For maximum loads of up to 25 lbs the pack carries beautifully. For me this is the best frameless pack on the market today.

I'm really liking this bag! I was worried that this won't fit well, especially since it seems to be used by men more than women. Somehow, it fit me pretty well. For reference, I'm 5'2" with a torso length just under 16", and I'm about 105-110 pounds. I've taken it on dayhikes so far, but plan to do the TMB in August 2025, so I look forward to trying it out there. I haven't had this bag loaded more than 6-8 pounds, so I'm hoping it remains comfortable at 15-20 pounds total weight. I primarily hike in a desert so I'm always carrying 6-7 pounds of water. But at 6-8 pounds, it carried very well and felt light without a hip belt.
